The part nobody prints: tax and service

Only 29 of 193 venues with menus on ChopRadar say whether their prices include taxes. 22 say they do. Where a service charge is listed, it is 10% at 13 venues, 5% at 10 venues, 6% at 2 venues.

So the price on the menu is not always the price on the bill. Ask before you order.

How we calculate it

For every venue with a real published menu on ChopRadar, we take the cheapest item that matches each dish, then show the typical price (the median) across venues. “Most pay” is the middle half. A dish needs at least 15 venues to appear.

Most venues here are sit-down restaurants, cafes and bars with published menus, mainly in Accra. Chop bars and street food are usually cheaper. Prices are as listed on each venue’s menu; confirm with the venue before you go.
